(Karla in the office breakroom, getting a cup of coffee. It's obviously a very nice, high-powered breakroom. Two other people, both well-dressed and in business suits, are chatting.)

BUSINESS GUY #1: Last night's game sure was a squeaker, huh?

BUSINESS GUY #2: I'll say. That last-minute fumble almost cost 'em. Karla, did you catch it?

KARLA (looking a little out of place): "I don't watch football."

Panel 2:
(Karla by the copying machine, with a woman talking to her.)

BG #3 (excited): Did you see what happened to Susan last night?

KARLA (awkwardly): I'm afraid I don't watch Desperate Housewives.

Panel 3:
(Karla after work, holding a martini in her hand, as two people chat to her.)

BG #4: I caught a fish this big this weekend.

BG #5: I went to the State Fair with my son! Karla, what'd you do?

Panel 4:
(Karla, daydreaming happily, perhaps with an imagery of the events in the background.)

KARLA (thinking): This weekend, my bold comrades and I led an assault up the avalanche-strewn slopes of Malbolge to daunt the plans of Lord Imbolc.

(Karla, looking uncomfortable in real life)

KARLA: …Not much.

KARLA (thinking): Keeping my nerd side hidden: bad for conversation, good for my salary. 1736
