Scene:
Tom and Karla are at home now, discussing things by the couch.

KARLA: So how’s the open-source wish project coming along?

TOM: Surprisingly, it’s going great. A lot of people are pitching in to create iron-clad, bug-free wishes for romance, and money, and happiness… And check this out! (He hands Karla a piece of paper.)

KARLA (reading): “This wish phrasing is free; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General License. However, if you do get multiple wishes, we hope that you will use at least one (1) wish to benefit those who worked upon the Open-Source Wish Project; the details can be found at TeamBenefit.wish…”

KARLA (looking up, excited with girlish glee): He turned it into nagware!

TOM (with wary respect): I don’t like Seth, but I’ll put him up against my genie any day.

And so endeth the Open-Source Wishes week. I’d like to remind y’all that the project is still alive and well, with people helping to perfect their wishes for when the Genie shows up. I’ll probably advance some of the wishes to their next version over the weekend.

Next week will start the Next Big Story for Home on the Strange, wherein a bad promise comes back to haunt our protagonists… Which really makes it sound like an episode of CSI instead of a new platform to make cheap penis jokes. See ya next week!
