Eumaeus Born the son of a coffin maker on an impoverished island, Eumaeus's life has been a hard one. His dream is to be a great hero but his I.Q. is considered too high and therefore he cannot get a Hero Permit — a necessity to practice heroing legally. Eumaeus had all but condemned himself to a life of making pine boxes when two strangers showed up on his door and purchased him from his father. |

Altaes Altaes isn't getting any younger and he's painfully aware of it. He's spent his entire life in the same shop, boxing up the dead so holy men can lay them to rest. He raised his two sons alone and while he wants to feel proud of his eldest, the Licensed Hero, he feels more worry and dread. He has many hopes for his youngest, Eumaeus, whom he's always been closer to. |
