Ding! Gratz!
When the people I usually play with left Final Fantasy XI after just three months - around february 2004 - I joined another guild to have someone to group with. These guys were really nice, but it was a large guild and they had this habit of not only shouting DING in guildchat everytime someone levelled, but also DONG when someone lost a level. It was was a constant spamming of DING DONG DING DONG in the channel, and I had to sit on my hands to resist the temptation of typing THE WITCH IS DEAD! as a reply.
