We have been invited by Penguicon to be Featured Guests at this year's convention. Isn't that fancy? April 29-May 1 in Southfield, Michigan. Details in the forum.
YAY! a fully armored nun! I was hoping you ladies would can this route!
In combat, habits aren’t good for anything but fanservice – which really doesn’t kill the monster faster. Nice to see a nun who knows that the ‘Armor of Christ’ is best complemented by plate-metal.
Can we see the rest of the inscription on the door?
I’ve not opened my text books in 5 years but I think it says. “The scared cross shall be my light. The dragon (Satan) shall not be my leader.”
The third sentence starts with a form of “Farewell” and the word ‘never’ is after the speech bubble.
If you’ve felt any waves of palpable rage from the Detroit area recently, it may well have been from us looking at pictures of other comic book nuns, whose costumes have nothing nun-like about them. It’s bad enough that the average superheroine is dressed in dental floss, but when you have a character who has taken vows of modesty and chastity and then draw them half naked…rage. So much of it.
The other possible source of the rage would be the flooding.
I love the nun’s outfit. Now, forgive me, but when I first looked at it, I though, “*sigh* Typical superhero not-very-nunly nun.” Then I realized that her arms and legs were in BROWN armor, not that she was showing a lot of skin. Forgive me?
By the way, I like the touch of the red band holding back her habit at the small of her back. Does she remove that red band and look like a more typical nun? Or am I just thinking too much?
“Yea, though I walk in the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil…because I’m the toughest thing in that valley.” *Pause* What? oh COME ON a nun isn’t going to use the full actual line, there’s vows to consider! Anyways, FINALLY a battle nun WORTHY of respect!
Bam. She does hit hard. Also sneaky.
It a must have. All cultures have monsters that hate salt. Effects vary but throwing it in the face or building a circle is supernatural defense 101.
There is never enough salt.
What’s that on her back?
Looks like its her interrogator. For when she needs to axe a vampire a question while killing them.

Bah-dum-tum-TISH!
That thing on her back is called a bardiche. It’s a halberd.

Vade retro satana.
Nunquam suade mihi vana.
Sunt mala quae libas.
Ipse venena bibas.
At first I thought her pant legs were her skin and thought “That’s not very nun-like”.

It makes me SO mad. EVERY TIME.
If anyone is curious about the text on the door…

She certainly does remove it when not embattled. The equivalent
to tying ones hair back.
Nice Axe.
Hitting things very hard is a pretty handy talent. For Vampire hunters anyway.
