Most jocks do not make a lot of money... in fact, we even get paid in free pizzas at times.

KRUD Listener Tip:   Recently one of our friends (who worked their way up from a part-time board operator to being an on air "personality") asked for an unrealistic amount of money when their contract came up for renewal.  To make matters worse they also wanted a shift change.  Seems they were tired of working at night.  They are now unemployed.   Many times the DJs do themselves in.  It's not always management.  The old saying "Be careful what you wish for, it might get you fired." applies to radio bigtime.
