32 CSS Culture: Laying it all out13 July 29th, 2005 by 4 Tom d Chi :: 7 9 37 44 Comments |
Somehow in the last couple years, everyone seems to have decided that TABLES are no good. Despite the fact that they’ve been around forever and provide a stable way to implement a layout for all browsers, they have somehow fallen out of favor. The reason? The culture of CSS.
The culture of CSS is strong these days, and it’s composed of a variety of voices from the web community. There are those who praise CSS for its philosophical purity. After all, it is the realization of that promised separation of form and content. Finally, content has been set free to flow to any device, and be seen in dozens of ways the designers never intended.
OK/Cancel is a comic strip collaboration co-written and co-illustrated by Kevin Cheng and Tom Chi. Our subject matter focuses on interfaces, good and bad and the people behind the industry of building interfaces - usability specialists, interaction designers, human-computer interaction (HCI) experts, industrial designers, etc. (Who Links Here) ?
